At the awards ceremony of GG Golden Globe Award concluded on the evening of December 6, HC SemiTek’s Mini LED chip products won the 2019 GG “Golden Globe Award – Innovative Display Product of the Year Award” thanks to its sustained optimization and innovation again following the 2018 GG “Golden Globe Award: Innovative Product of the Year Award”. HC SemiTek’s brand awareness and reputation is again recognized by the industry, as evidenced by its “Brand Enterprise of the Year 2019” award.

HC SemiTek is an early player in the high-end display market

The GG Golden Globe Award selection event which has been held for nine sessions attracts great attention from the LED industry and the active participation of companies in the industry’s segment. It is hailed as the “Academy Award of the LED industry”. The GG Golden Globe Award has witnessed a decade of industry development, and this year’s 10th Golden Globe Award holds special significance.

Due to the maturing small spacing technology in 2019, the display sector continues to maintain high growth. Ceaseless technology optimization and technology innovation

As one of the industry’s first chip companies to enter the high-end display market, HC SemiTek has been performing continuous technology optimization and innovation in Mini LED chips. In terms of technology optimization for RGB Mini LED chips, HC has designed high reliability and high brightness DBR flip chip structure. The metal connection layer is covered smoothly through the optimized PV and Mesa etching process. Electrode structure and metal deposition process are optimized to design highly reliable electrodes. The Mura effect during the COB applications can be removed through unique mixing technology. Moreover, as the chip size decreases, the solder paste-free chip packaging solution will hold the key to improving yield and curtailing costs. HC SemiTek is capable of applying solder balls directly to Mini LED chip electrodes. In terms of red light Mini LED chip technology, HC has developed the transfer and bonding process with high bonding yield. It has also designed the top protection layer, optimized the material deposition process, and boosted the film quality to ensure zero risk of extension and damage. Regarding the backlight Mini LED chip technology, HC has optimized the film structure design and adjusted the chip’s extraction efficiency for easier ultra-thin design.
