The ceremony of the Sixth LED Gold Initiative Award was held as planned in the evening of April 23, in Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City. The annual "LED Initiative Award" has been designed as the recognition for outstanding enterprises that make independent, groundbreaking innovations in the LED industry. The award aims to encourage enterprises to find novel approaches and make innovations in the R&D and application of LED products, replace and surpass existing solutions, and integrate with other fields. The eventual goal of the award is to guide LED enterprises to rely on technological innovations as the driving force. The strong technological performance of Mini LED chips helps HC Semitek win the Gold Initiative Award.

As one of the major Chinese suppliers of full-color display and backlight LED chips, HC Semitek was among the earliest trail blazers in the Mini LED field, and has launched technically mature MINI LED chips. HC Semitek is a trusted partner in the Mini LED field with its open-minded attitude in research and development.

In terms of Mini RGB chips, the use of structurally more stable DBR+ITO flip chips, together with the insulation layer optimization at the steps and side walls of the chips, makes the chips more reliable. The particular optimization of substrate transfer for Mini red LED chips improves the overall yield rate and reliability of these chips. Regarding Mini BLU chips, HC Semitek is collaborating with downstream and terminal manufacturers at home and abroad to develop LED chips that easily enable even lighting for super-thin LED backlight modules.

Mini RGB chips were put into real applications and bulk supplied already in 2018, a year that also saw the breakthrough in the yield rate of red LED chips, laying a solid foundation for further expansion of the applications of Mini RGB chips. The combination of Mini BLU products with the sealing terminal and its resulting products have also been approved by customers. HC Semitek has entered into strategic cooperation agreements with top-tier manufacturers to launch technically mature application solutions and display samples. HC Semitek is also working closely with Chinese and international terminal customers to develop new solutions.
