A short opening ceremony of the infrastructure project was held at the second-phase project site of HC Semitek plant on Apr. 17, 2010. Mr. Zhou Fuyun, chairman of HC Semitek, and Dr. Liu Rong, the president, gave blessing for the project. Nine people including the board directors, members of the board of supervisors, and investment representatives laid the foundation for the second-phase infrastructure project. As a blessing ceremony planned for internal personnel only, the company did not invite guests, but many employees and some friends still visited the site to watch the ceremony. The spring rain stops, and the spring is in the air, adding joy and peace to the ceremony.

The land for second-phase project of HC Semitek, adjacent to the first phase project, covers an area of about 64,000 square meters. The first projects to be built are No. 2 factory building and the annexes of the power zone, covering an area of over 13,300 square meters. Coupled with three supporting building on the first-phase project, a building area of about 20,000 square meters will be completed this year.

After the completion of this project in the year, the second and third phase expansion projects of HC Semitek will be launched. The second-phase expansion project to be completed before the end of the year has an aggregate investment of 300 million yuan, and has a monthly production capacity of 40,000 to 50,000 2-inch epitaxial wafers and an annual output of nearly 10 billion LED chips. The third-phase expansion project launched in 2011 will quadruple on this basis. At that time, the construction and utilization ratio of 106,000 square meters of land in the first and second phases will be in excess of 90%, and the investment plan for Binhu Road plant area will be basically completed.
